Holywell Promise (2015)

Promise was born in 2015. She is by Aldatus Z out of Holywell a Glen Bar x Flagmound Diamond x Nelgonde tb mare.

Aldatus Z was an 1.60 international jumper who sired Badminton runners Shanaclough Crecora and Green Lawn Sky High as well international jumpers such as Maschula R and Alligator Alley who jumped 1.60 with Cian O’Connor.  Aldatus has Alme, Caletto, Ramiro Z blood but interestingly has a high percentage TB blood through Pernod, who was a Grand Prix Dressage horse, who had international dressage successes with Willi Schultheiß following his career as a race horse and prior to his breeding career.

Glen Bar sired Gilt Edge who competed with David O’Connor to win the Kentucky Rolex **** 2001 , he also won WEG team goldn2002 and won a Bronze medal at the Sydney Olympics 2000 and Sliver in Atlanta in 1996. He was voted USA horse of  year in 2002!

Holywell Showtime (2016 – Sold)

Showtime (Lucas) is a cracker gelding by Future Trend x Crosstown Dancer x Big Sink Hope. Lucas has been sold to to a top showing home in Scotland and has already won Champion Hunter at Royal Northern Spring Show, Aberdeen as a yearling. His future is looking bright!

Future Trend jumped to 1.50 National Grand Prix level in Ireland. He has the blood of Alme, Argentinius and Grannus as well as at TB blood through Nijinsky and Fra Diavolo.

Holywell Sunshine (2016)

Sunshine is a powerful colt, by Luidam x Ard Black Cat x All the Diamonds.  His big quarters and bouncy front leg action suggest he will be a strong and careful jumper.

Luidam needs no introduction having helped Ireland win the Aga Khan Nations Cup Trophy with Billy Twomey in the RDS. He must have the highest strike rate for jumpers in Ireland and his youngsters dominate the age classes in Ireland every year.

Ard Black Cat proved himself as a grand Prix level show jumper and Advanced Eventer. He showjumped at top level, which included wins in numerous World Cup shows at 1.50m level.

Holywell Spark (2016)

We purchased Spark at Cavan sales to replace Lucas! Spark is by Cobra x Contador x Ard Patrick x Campaigner TB. He is line bred to two of the greatest stallions of all time, Capitol 1 and Landgraf 1. He also features Cor de la Breyre, Ramiro Z and Ahorn x Nimmerdor. He gets TB blood through Sacremento Song, Lucky Boy, and Marlon (all influential for producing jumpers in Holsteiner lines). His Irish TB goes back to Nearco, Fair Trail and Soverign Bill and via his great grand dam Artic Belle, a full sister to the Irish stallion Glen Bar!

 

Holywell Confidante (2017)

Philip, is a fiercely athletic cold foal by Contendro 1 x Skreenmor Dancer (Crosstown Dancer x Big Sink Hope)  He is looks to have all the attributes of a top top sports horse.

 

 

 

Holywell Quality (2017)

This filly foal has outstanding athletic ability and strength.  She is a straight mover, and has a good attitude.  She should make a very competitive eventer or jumper. Her Sire OBOS Quality is a relentless sire of Eventers and Jumpers.  Glen Bar, Flagmount Diamond and Nelgonde are all proper old fashioned Traditional Irish lines that are becoming rarer and rarer and carry the blood needed to produce a brave event type.
